Astoria Palawan, An Escape From The World

Astoria Palawan, An Escape From The World

Last year, me and my boyfriend availed a membership at Astoria Palawan. And with that, we had a free 3 days 2 nights stay at the said hotel. This voucher is not valid for public holidays so we opted to used it for the Valentines <3.

I know you are so eager to know if this is legit, right? Well, here is my review.

From outside, you will actually not notice the hotel unless you step at least 3 meters from the entrance where a huge logo was posted about 5ft from the ground. There was no sign of any tall buildings from the highway. All you can see are trees and small houses of residents on the opposite site. Oops! Already having a doubt? Don't worry, haha! because they really designed the resort as a bungalow hotel. Meaning there is no 2nd floors.

So, from the entrance we walked our way to the guard house where we were greeted by the security. They asked for our names to check our reservation. Upon checking, we were adviced to wait for a few minutes for the cart (the one they use for transferring visitors from the gate to the main lobby/receiving area) to pick us up. Honestly, it was just a few meters away. The cart is ideal for visitors who carries huge travel bags. We only brought backpacks.

We arrived at Astoria Palawan around 11 am. As per the hotel policy, check in time is 2 pm but fortunately Sir Raffy ( hotel manager ) allowed us to check in earlier to give us a rest from a very tiring bus trip. Yes, you got that right! We took a bus going to Astoria. I'll post a link about our whole Puerto Princesa tour later. We also deposited 2,000.00 for our stay which will be returned upon check out.

The staff gave us cold face towel and nice coconut shake with slices of mango ( I really don't know what they call it but I loved it.
Refreshment. It's more fun in Astoria Palawan

Here a peak of the lobby (the Canopy)

Witwiw! Pogi!

It was so kind for Sir Raffy to give us a tour around the lobby. There are rooms and amenities FREE for MEMBERS.

Books are available. Board games, too!

Look who's enjoying

Yes, you can use the iPad. Calm down, they have two!

They also have big mountain bikes where you can use around the resort, kayak.

Aside from pool, they also have a beach ( according to some employees it was man-made, I don't know what it means but for now, swimming is discouraged because the water is still under treatment) with white fine sand. It was so relaxing just looking at the sea.

With all the activities, you will surely need to recharge with their exquisite dining experience. Here is the menu.

My boyfriend is a big fan of pork sinigang. Do I need to tell what we had for lunch? You can order through phone from the restaurant and deliver it to your room. They have a separate menu for breakfast. Members are entitled for a buy 1 free 1 breakfast. We had tocilog for breakfast. *YUM*

We celebrated Valentine's Day in our room cuz we were tired from the trip. But they also offered us a (buffet) dinner with acoustic band for only 1,200/pax.

They also offer tours, you can ask the reception any time. :) We availed the Underground River Tour A for the next day trip. I'm sorry but I'm keeping their price as it is confidential. hihi!

Honestly, it was the first time I can say that I actually fell in love with a hotel. The service is excellent. The staff is wonderful and very approachable. They will greet you wherever you are, even outside the resort. I remember when we were walking outside looking for a sari-sari store. We bumped in to some staff on off-duty but still they greet us with smile. Although I wish I could've dipped in the beach, the overall experience was superb!

Do you wish to experience what we had in Asotria Palawan? Avail there membership now! For more information, you can contact me. :) <3 :)
